Lumineth is a fantasy, magic planet ruled by the twelve astrology signs.
On this website, you can check the overall lore of the planet and its inhabitants. This carrd will be probably constantly updated, so make sure to check for new updates!
Lumineth is a sand box world: You can be any species, race etc. Regarding your "role", the only limitation is that in most povs, user is a particular figure called a messenger. This doesn't stop you from having any type of background, as long as it is linked to the lore.
Please text me about any doubt you might have! The world building behind this universe is massive, so it is normal that not many questions might be answered simply by bot definitions etc. You can find me on discord! I do not have a server, but you can privately dm me!
The myth of the birth of the twelve signs
In the time before time, only the void existed. From it came Solaryth, the Weaver of Light, and Nyxalis, the Shaper of Shadows. Solaryth spun threads of starlight across the emptiness, and Nyxalis breathed into them the spark of life. From their union were born twelve shining children, the constellations, each a fragment of light and shadow, order and chaos. They took their places in the sky, destined to watch over the world and mark the paths of all who would come after. And thus, the heavens were alive, and the twelve signs were born.

The Celestial Rift
For many ages, the twelve signs danced across the heavens, each carrying the gifts of Solaryth and Nyxalis. But as time passed, they began to see one another not as siblings, but as rivals.Leo, proud and blazing, claimed the brightest stars for himself. Scorpio, secretive and cunning, sought power in the shadows. Sagittarius yearned for freedom, while Capricorn plotted with relentless ambition. One by one, their desires clashed, and the harmony of the sky began to shatter. The first sparks of war ignited. Taurus stood her ground against Aries, while Libra tried in vain to mediate. Gemini sowed confusion among allies, and Aquarius rallied rebels in distant galaxies. Even Pisces and Virgo, dreamers of balance, were drawn into the chaos.
The end of the war and the creation of Lumineth
When the war of the twelve signs had raged until the stars themselves grew weary, the heavens demanded peace. The signs, scarred by their own strife, vowed never again to let creation be broken by rivalry. So they turned their gaze upon a newborn world of crystal seas and luminous skies, and they named it Lumineth, a place where light and shadow could live as one.To guard against the follies of their own past, the twelve divided Lumineth’s great continent into four elemental realms, each a reflection of their nature.Pyrrion the Realm of Flame, where molten rivers carved mountains of fire.Terraveth, the Realm of Stone, fertile and enduring, the bones of the earth itself.Aetheris the Realm of Sky, crowned by endless winds and peaks that touched the stars.Oceyra the Realm of Tides, ever-shifting, where deep waters carried memory and change. In each realm, the signs planted their wisdom and their warning, so that those who came after would live in harmony with the elements, and not in rivalry.
The messengers
What are messengers?
As their title might suggest, messengers are the link between the signs deities and the population of Lumineth. Messengers are the only one who can speak directly to the deity they are linked to. Deities can initiate communication whenever they want, while messengers initiate communication when they give an offer to their deity. Messengers are recognises by a golden pin they wear with the symbol of each sign.
They are regarded highly in societies, and usually take on important roles due to their connection to a deity.
A person can become a messenger in whatever stage of their life, and are usually chosen after they have proved themselves to one of the signs deities in whatever way might be preferred by them, wherever it is a "simple" accomplishment or a bigger one (For example, a messenger could have proved themselves in a field, or simply did an action who was approved by the deities)
Congratulations! In most bots of this universe, you are a messenger!
How did you become one? Well, you simply have...killed your mentor.
As it has been said, your persona can be from any background or any species. But, following a linear lore of the universe, you kill your mentor at the Aetherion Academy, making you be seen as..worthy? Deities tend to act in mysterious ways.
You can choose the deity who you are connected with, but not yet the reason why you killed your mentor, as it is part of the lore your own persona lives through.
Oceyra is governed by the Council of Tides, an assembly of envoys from the strongest maritime city-states that meets once every lunar cycle, or during eclipses for matters of greater importance. Despite this assembly, each island or city maintains full sovereignty, with monarchies, republics, and even theocracies coexisting across the archipelago. Alliances are fluid and ever-changing, with treaties often sealed through marriages, hostage exchanges, or sacred oaths sworn on seashells or saltwater. No single realm can achieve lasting dominance, as naval superiority is constantly contested by rival fleets, unpredictable storms, shifting currents, and acts of sabotage, ensuring that power in Oceyra is always balanced and precarious.
Role: Capital of Oceyra’s main commercial region, serving as the hub of trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.A vibrant and cosmopolitan port city built on floating platforms and stilted palaces, with bustling markets, scenic canals, and luxurious inns attracting merchants and travelers from across the continent. Its picturesque lagoons and moonlit festivals make it a top destination for tourists.
Role: Seat of the Pearl Matrons, a matrilineal dynasty controlling pearl fisheries and sea-silk.An opulent, jeweled city where nobles display their wealth in shell mosaics and pearl-inlaid armor.
Role: A cursed and desolate region built around a swirling, deadly whirlpool; long abandoned by rulers and largely avoided by sailors and travelers.Crumbling amphibious temples cling to jagged cliffs, connected by precarious rope bridges over roaring, treacherous waters; the air is thick with mist and an eerie, unnatural chill.
Pyrrion, the continent of Fire, is a land of volcanic mountains, scorched plains, and blazing cities, where strength, ambition, and conquest dictate the rhythm of life. Power is earned through battle, martial skill, and daring, and city-states constantly vie for dominance under the watchful eyes of the Flame Sovereign, the strongest warlord who unites the continent—if only temporarily—through conquest or alliance. Pyrrion’s society is built on honor, courage, and passion, with warrior clans, mercenary guilds, and fiery priests shaping politics and culture. Its cities blaze with forges, arenas, and flame-temples, reflecting both the continent’s physical intensity and the ferocity of its people. Rivalries are fierce, victories celebrated with grandeur, and failure often met with exile or death, making Pyrrion a land of glory, danger, and unending ambition. Drakorys is its capital, seat of the current Flame Sovereign. Whoever rules Pyrrion claims this volcanic fortress-city. Carved directly into the caldera of a living volcano, its forges and arenas glow with molten rivers.
Role: Military-industrial powerhouse, known for siege engines and fire-breathing war machines.
A brutal desert stronghold of iron and brass, smoke rising from its furnaces day and night.
Role: A rebellious region where pirates, exiles, and innovators gather.Built into sea-cliffs scorched black from ancient eruptions; a haven of outlaws and freebooters.
Role: Seat of Pyrrion’s nomadic war-clans.A colossal region of black glassy stone, said to have been struck by a fallen star. Surrounding it are endless steppe encampments.
Aetheris, the continent of Air, is a land of soaring plateaus, floating cities, and endless skies, where intellect, innovation, and magic shape society as much as politics or commerce. It is home to the Aetherion Academy, the planet’s premier institution for the study of magic, drawing students, scholars, and artificers from across the world. The continent is ruled by the Tianlos Dynasty, a lineage of angelic rulers of the Caelites race, who claim direct descent from the gods, asserting both divine right and moral authority over Aetheris. Under their guidance, the cities flourish as centers of learning, invention, and trade, while philosophical debates, magical experiments, and political councils dominate daily life. Power in Aetheris is a delicate balance of intellect, wealth, and influence, with the floating cities and skyborne trade routes reflecting the ever-shifting currents of thought and ambition that define the continent.
Role: Seat of the Grand Conclave, Aetheris’ closest equivalent to a continental government.Built atop a high plateau with towers open to the sky, Zephyros is constantly in motion with airships, skybridges, and wind spires. Houses the Aetherion Academy
Role: Academic and magical capital, producing the continent’s brightest minds.Ivory towers, observatories, and glass domes dominate. A network of sky-bridges connects floating libraries. Most of the students of Aetherion Academy move here for research.
Role: Economic powerhouse, connecting Aetheris internally and with other continents.Ports on cliffs with massive windmills and docking spires for flying vessels. Markets specialize in exotic goods and information.
Role: Military/defensive capital, protecting Aetheris’ floating cities and sky routes.A series of aerial fortresses tethered to the cloudline, with lightning-powered defenses and observation towers. The royal palace of the Tianlos family is here.

Caelites
The Caelites are a race rumored to have been created by Solaryth, the Weaver of Light, father of the twelve sign deities with the purpose of guarding the citizens of Lumineth, well before the role of messengers were established. Caelites resemble angels, with candid wings and ethereal features.
Caelites can be considered the first habitants of Lumineth, being the de facto founders of the capital cities of Aetheris.
Even after messengers were founded by the twelve signs (a clear and direct response to Solaryth's overbearing presence through the Caelites), the Caelites still take onto many different, important roles on Lumineth.
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ The hierarchy ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
Caelites have a tight, rigid hierarchy. Each individual begins at the lowest level, but rarely raises through the ranks. These ranks do not only change a person's role, but also their appearance. At a first rank, Caelites have a human-like appearance. At a last rank, they do not have a physical, human form. But there have been rare cases where a Caelite reached these forms; that is, because, it is very difficult to raise through ranks. A "promotion" happens only when a Caelite makes a remarkable task, usually a groundbreaking discovery or a warlike conquer. The promotion is approved through a ritual by Solaryth himself, explaining the difficult criteria to advance through ranks.
the third triad represent the roles fulfilled by usually common people, where those with exceptionally raw power manage to become Principalties.
– Angels: The closest to other creatures. Usually help in day to day task.
– Archangels: Similar roles to messengers, as they carry on messages from higher ranking individuals, but are not included into those tasks.
– Principalities: Associated with transition of powers, Principalties are the lowest ranking individuals in the Tianlos family's official army, even taking on roles of personal knights.
second triad ranks are usually reached by Caelites with noble origins, with all members of the royal family easily becoming Dominions during their rule.
–Powers:Higher ranking individuals in the Tianlos's dynasty army, divided into different branches.
–Virtues:All highest members of the royal court of Tianlos are Virtues, with few of them being messengers. While Powers overlook the war departments, Virtues manage the economic and political state of Aetheris.
–Dominios: Rank only reached by the monarchs of the Tianlos Dynasty, who rule over all the lower ranks.
there are only a few, unique individuals who reached the first triad. Once reaching the Seraphim rank, the Caelite leaves its mortal shell to be part of Solaryth's godly court.
–Thrones: Tend and manage the cult of Solaryth, can be considered covering "Priests" and "Priestess" roles.
–Cherubim: Rarely show themselves to mortals, already in a demi-god state. They protect the temples.
–Seraphim: Effectively gods, ascend to Solaryth's court. Once reached this rank, they do not show themselves on Lumineth anymore.

Royal House of Tianlos
Children of Solaryth, Defenders of the Caelite Legacy, Sovereigns of the Aether Realms
“By light and grace, we ascend.”
When Lumineth was still a shimmer upon the breath of Solaryth, the Caelites were many and equal — winged children of light drifting upon the endless skies of Aetheris. Their wings burned with the hues of dawn, their voices carried hymns that shaped the winds, and their hearts were unshadowed by envy or pride.Among them lived the Tianlos, a modest house of star-watchers and wind-singers, keepers of the Celestial Spire where light first touched the newborn clouds. They were neither the strongest of warriors nor the grandest of scholars, yet their devotion to Solaryth burned unwavering, and their eyes sought always the truth behind the gleam of light itself. When the Veil of Dusk descended — that calamity of shadow born from the envy of one of Solaryth’s own children — the heavens of Aetheris trembled. The other noble houses turned their brilliance inward, guarding their sanctuaries of cloud and crystal. But the Tianlos did not hide. Guided by Lysera Tianlos, a matron whose wings shimmered like moonlight through mist. Lysera and her kin gathered the scattered light, weaving it into a mantle of radiance that sealed the wounds in heaven’s veil.Solaryth recognized their worth, and thus, were crowned the Luminarchs of Aetheris, sovereigns not by conquest, but by compassion.

ᨒ ོ ☼ Terraveth
Terraveth, the continent of Earth, is a vast and enduring land of fertile plains, towering mountains, and sprawling valleys, where stability, tradition, and hierarchy define society. It is a realm of noble houses, ancient dynasties, and powerful guilds, where land ownership, lineage, and meticulous governance determine power. Terraveth’s cities are fortified and orderly, with monumental architecture, terraced farmlands, and guildhalls reflecting the continent’s emphasis on permanence and structure. Innovation is slow, and cultural continuity is prized above all, yet the continent thrives on careful resource management, trade, and disciplined armies. Politics is measured, alliances are long-lasting, and conflicts, though rare, are decisive, making Terraveth a bastion of endurance, authority, and unyielding order in a world of shifting tides, blazing ambition, and soaring intellect.
The regions and their capitals
Role: Agricultural and trade capital; source of wealth from fertile lands and resource management., seat of the High CouncilVine-covered towers, terraced farms, canals, and markets dominate the landscape. The capital is a massive city built on a plateau, with marble palaces, fortified walls, and ceremonial plazas.

Aetherion Academy
Aetherion Academy is the most prestigious in all four continents of Lumineth. Built on majestic materials and marbles, the Academy hails itself on the air pillars and cloud buildings typical of the continent it was built in, Aetheris. The Academy was founded by the benevolent King Kleophon, a Caelite part of the Tianlos dynasty. He wanted to help educate the new generations through the best scholars of the region. Students can enroll even in the youngest age, even though only individuals from the most prominent families of the planet can afford the cost of a complete education at the Academy. Most students, in fact, enroll after they turn 19 years old, as at this age, compared to the academic programs who are unanimous up until this point, students can choose in what area to specialize in. The main academic programs are:
Elemental Studies
Astral & Celestial Magic
Combat & Defensive Magic
Enchanted Arts & Magical Communication
Alchemy & Potion Studies
Peculiar students, who have proved themselves for their talent, are helped in their studies by a tutor, who often teach their students extracurricular programs. Tutors are usually professors or researchers, and that is why the tutor program is reserved only to the most talented individuals.
As it has been said, Aetherion Academy students often rise from more important families, but the academy is known for the elevated number of scolarships that are often given out in all the continents.

Each student has usually, at the start of their studies at the Academy, a familiar of any sort, and a campus dorm for them to reside in if needed. The campus area is divided into four district, representing the four elements. Students are associated to the district of the element of their native continent.
Students at Aetherion Academy are deeply engrained in the magical life of the prestigious institute. It offers every comfort and benefit, especially for the students who reside in the magic campus.
It also has gyms, libraries, churches, and everything needed for the perfect academy experience. In addictions, the academy values cooperations and friendship between students, through clubs
Life at Aetherion Academy is more than study and spellwork. The heart of our community thrives in the gatherings, ceremonies, and celebrations that bring students and faculty together. Each year is marked by traditions that honor knowledge, unity, and the wonders of the arcane.

Dravok was born in the life of privilege expected from the only heir of someone so important like Kaelen "Duskfang" Lysander. But we all know that all that glitter isn't gold. Kaelen, originally born in the harsh northern steppes, didn't want his son to be softened by the bourgeoise of Aetheris, treating him harshly and testing him day to day. Dravok was also raised, on the other hand, by the soft caresses of his mother, Eirdis Eellermayer. After his mother's death, his own son's mourning made Kaelen push his son even further, creating an impossibile to close chasm between father and son.

Wild and untamed, Valerius was born in a small village near Natus, the port city of Aetheris. He was forged by a life of hardship and untamed labor, his trajectory changed forever the day he witnessed the King’s procession; from that moment, his singular ambition was to join the elite Argent Zephyrs. The occasion arose when a high-ranking Tianlos scouting party was ambushed by a sky-beast in the outskirts of Natus. This earned him a spot in the Royal Army. Aries
As the first sign to be born, and thus, the oldest sibling, Aries is seen as a sort of "golden child". They take on the appearance of an androgynous being, with noticeable ram horns. As the first sign, they are associated with beginnings, and most especially, leadership, making most of his messengers leader figures.
TAURUS
Second born, Taurus is known for the rivalry to the first sign, Taurus present himself as a male with dark skin and golden, glowing eyes, with peculiar bull horns. He is associated with fertility, and especially, strength and power. He recognizes the value of his own blessings, and that is why he tends to be very picky with his messengers.

Gemini

The twins of the gemini have always had a mysterious aura around them. Rarely talkative, they usually appair together in front of those who call for their aid. They tend to be attracted to the unusual individuals, those who stick out from their group of origin for usually all the worst reasons. Rumours surrounding them say that they represent a sort of balance between good and bad deeds, and thus, it is usually a bad omen if the darker veiled counterpart appears at the altar of offers.

Cancer
Cancer, since he is one of the oldest siblings, he is one who is especially known for his faithfulness to the concept of family, and especially, of community. Many seek his help, especially those who are known for their high ambitions. He is one of the most nurturing figures amongst the deities, giving comfort and kindness to those who need it.
Leo
His strength is told amongst hymns and tales, in taverns and tomes, Leo rules over the brave and the strongest individuals. Warriors, especially from the continent of Pyrrion, pray for him to give them his same strength and overpower their enemies. Leo also tends to favor those who do not yet have these values, but have a harboring desire to overcome their fears and achieve their goals.

Virgo
Virgo travelled centuries and populations with the same simple appearance, angelic wings and gentle demeanor. The deity is especially seemed to those who work in agricultural areas of work, from simple farmers to botanic researchers. She is deeply linked to harvesting and nature, and her messengers mirror that. She has few of them just like Taurus, as she chooses only those who seem completely united to nature.
Libra
Deity of justice and balance, Libra makes sure that these values, that she is deeply attached to, are followed and respected. She believes in justice and equality for all, despising any attempt at diminishing one's worth based on origins and/or race. That is why she is known to go out of her way to punish those who seek her help and guide, but are not, in her eyes, worthy of it. Still, her concept of justice is entirely subjective, clashing often with her siblings because of it.

Scorpio
Highly intuitive, even though their looks might deceive, Scorpio is a deity who has a deep understanding of feelings and emotions, even though they tend to not show their compassion in usual ways. Drawn to the mysterious parts of life and knowledge, those who acquire their pin tend to be individuals who are out of normal socially perceived schemes, often seemingly out of line according to accepted parameters.
Saggitarius
Wise, knowledgeable and sagacious, Sagittarius has always prided himself in guiding the citizens of Lumineth through the light of truth, and away from the dark path of ignorance. Always truthful and upfront, Sagittarius might often appear strict to those who have not the ears to completely accept his lessons. His messengers are usually scholars, who guide others just like their assigned deity.

Capricorn
Half fish half goat, Capricorn has a deep affinity for those, who, just like him, are not complete, and do not fit into a particular box. He aides those who usually go through deep transformations, helping individuals who often go through rough patches of life, unable to choose for themselves, or too scared to make important life changes.
Aquarius
Associated with ingenuity, individuality, freedom. Aquarius is characterized by an almost child like curiosity towards the world and whats beyond it. Favored by adventures and those who not abide to society rules, his messengers transcends material restrictions or limitations, guided by a need to seek what is beyond what normal eyes see.

Pisces
The twins of the pisces are completely different from their other twins counterpart. They are deeply emphatic, and tend to favor especially lovers, or those who have deep relationships problems. They deeply feel what their own messengers feel, who are usually as emphatic as they are. They are also associated with the arts, frequently depicted in songs and paintings. Artist pray to them for inspirations, and the success of their creation. They are never seen alone, always together, never without the other, like they are almost one single entity.
Ophiuchus
seems that the deities do not favor everyone...
